1. Sentence Structure
- Basic Order: Subject + Verb + Object (SVO) 
 ✅ She reads books.
 ❌ Reads she books.
- Modifiers: Place adjectives before nouns. 
 ✅ A red car.
 ❌ A car red.
2. Parts of Speech
- Nouns (book, car, idea) 
- Pronouns (he, she, it, they) 
- Verbs (go, runs, eat) 
- Adjectives (big, beautiful, tall) 
- Adverbs (quickly, always, very) 
- Prepositions (in, on, at, by, for, since)

3. Tenses
Tenses = Time of action. Accuracy depends on correct form.
- Present: - Simple: She works here. 
- Continuous: She is working now. 
- Perfect: She has worked here. 
- Perfect Continuous: She has been working here. 
 
- Past: - Simple: She worked yesterday. 
- Continuous: She was working when I called. 
- Perfect: She had worked before leaving. 
- Perfect Continuous: She had been working for 2 hours. 
 
- Future: - Simple: She will work tomorrow. 
- Continuous: She will be working then. 
- Perfect: She will have worked by 5 p.m. 
- Perfect Continuous: She will have been working for 3 hours by then. 
 
4. Subject–Verb Agreement
- Singular subject → Singular verb 
 ✅ He runs fast.
- Plural subject → Plural verb 
 ✅ They run fast.
- Collective nouns: 
 ✅ The team is ready.
 ✅ The team are arguing (when members are seen separately).
5. Articles (a, an, the)
- a → before consonant sounds: a book, a dog 
- an → before vowel sounds: an apple, an hour 
- the → specific/unique things: the sun, the Prime Minister 
6. Prepositions
- Time: in, on, at, since, for, during 
- Place: in, on, at, under, between 
- Direction: to, into, onto, toward 
 ✅ He is good at English.
 ✅ I have lived here for 5 years.
7. Pronouns & Reference
- Subject: I, we, you, he, she, they 
- Object: me, us, him, her, them 
- Possessive: my, our, his, her, their 
 ✅ She gave the book to him.

8. Adjectives & Adverbs
- Adjective → Describes a noun: a beautiful city. 
- Adverb → Describes a verb/adjective/adverb: She sings beautifully. 
Comparisons:
- Positive: tall 
- Comparative: taller 
- Superlative: tallest 
9. Active & Passive Voice
- Active: The teacher teaches English. 
- Passive: English is taught by the teacher. 
10. Direct & Indirect Speech
- Direct: He said, “I am tired.” 
- Indirect: He said that he was tired. 
11. Conditionals

- First: If it rains, I will stay home.

- Third: If I had studied, I would have passed. 
12. Modal Verbs (can, could, may, might, must, should, will, would)

13. Common Errors to Avoid

14. Punctuation & Capitalization
